What
measures would you take in the prevention of chronic and
infections illnesses in Houston (i.e. heart disease, stroke,
cancer, diabetes, influenza, sexually transmitted diseases,
hepatitis, tuberculosis, HIV, etc.) |
 |
I
would support educational efforts, like those of the Latino
HIV task force and the African American State of Emergency
Task force. Additionally, I would back community-business
collaborations such as that exhibited between Texas Children’s
Hospital and The Ripley House on Navigation to provide
immunizations, preventative health care, and wellness
education. |

What
is your position on the proposed changes to the North
& East Corridor Metro Rail Lines to become BRT Lines
and creating a new University Rail Line? |
 |
I
support efforts that will help increase mobility throughout
the City of Houston. With that said, I strongly encourage
thorough input from the members of the communities where
new transportation systems are implemented to ensure that
residents and business owners are not adversely affected. |
